The BUXatrap Box Tree Moth Trap is a reliable pheromone trap designed to combat box tree moth infestations. Certified by the INRA Institute, this trap effectively captures moths, disrupting their life cycle and providing season-long biological control. By reducing moth populations, the trap allows box trees to thrive and remain healthy.
Box tree pests are most active from mid-April to October, with the peak season occurring between July and the end of September. These pests can produce up to three generations of caterpillars during this time, making early intervention crucial. It is recommended to set up the BUXatrap at the beginning of the season, around mid-April, to effectively monitor and control box tree moth populations.
The BUXatrap Box Tree Moth Trap offers convenience and longevity. The trap remains effective for three months, ensuring continuous protection. It covers an area of up to 120 sqm, making it suitable for various garden sizes. Additionally, the trap is reusable, providing value for long-term use.
This all-in-one solution includes the trap itself and two pheromone syringes. The pheromone attracts and lures the male moths, preventing them from mating and laying eggs, which would later develop into box tree caterpillars. By using the BUXatrap, you can address both the adult moth population and the subsequent caterpillar infestation.
For extended protection, the BUXatrap Box Tree Moth Trap is compatible with the BUXatrap Refill, allowing you to replenish the pheromone supply as needed. This ensures that your trap remains effective throughout the entire season, providing ongoing control and support for your box trees.
