Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint in Black Satin gives your metal surfaces a tough and durable finish. It offers up to 15 years of protection and doesn't need a primer, so you can apply it straight onto rust or bare metal. This makes it handy for jobs like gates, railings, and outdoor metal furniture.
Getting started is simple. For bare metal, remove any loose rust or paint with a wire brush or sandpaper, then wipe it clean. If there's old paint that's in good condition, a light sanding will do. Stir the paint well before using, and you can apply it with a brush, roller, or sprayer. It's low odour and becomes showerproof in just 30 minutes.

Usually, two coats will give you good coverage, but if the metal is rusty or you want extra durability, three coats are recommended. Allow 2 to 4 hours between coats. The 750ml tin covers about 3 square metre with two coats. To keep your metal looking its best, check for any cracks or scratches each year and touch up as needed.

Returns
Faulty or Damaged Items:

and details. We will provide return instructions and cover the return shipping costs for faulty items.
Unwanted Returns & Exchanges:
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
If you wish to return or exchange an unwanted item, please contact us for instructions.
Items should be unused and in their original packaging. Partial refunds or exchanges may be offered for
products not in their original condition or returned after 30 days.
Your Statutory Rights (UK):
Under UK law, you have a 14-day right to cancel your order from the day after you receive it.
If you return your entire order within this period, we will also refund our standard delivery charge.
Return shipping costs remain your responsibility unless the items are faulty or sent in error.
Our returns policy is in addition to your statutory rights.
Refunds:
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of its approval or rejection.
Approved refunds are usually applied to your original payment method within 7–14 business days.

Sale Items:
Sale items are non-refundable unless they are defective or damaged.

Gifts:
If an item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you,
you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Otherwise, the refund will go to the original purchaser.
Return Shipping:
